The Eagle's Wrath

The Company of the Eagle's Wrath

Created with the purpose to destroy and set back the old faith which was gaining popularity and attraction shortly after the Evenguard, the Eagle's Wrath is a company that deals exclusively against the religion's followers and icons and artifacts. Using hired swords, relic hunters and traffickers, members of the group rarely feel remorse burning religious sites, tearing apart families and selling old faith practitioners in underground black markets to the highest bidders to use them as they please.

Creation of the Eagle's Wrath

The name of the Eagle's Wrath was created by Kurdheim Janzel in 179 AD only three years after the Evenguard. The band itself was fully formed and operative 4 years after its original conception in the year 183 AD. At that point, it had received the support of many people, ranging from lords that feared for their forests and hunting grounds, to powerful religious figureheads threatened by this sudden flourishing set of beliefs, and ending with old wizards set on their ways of arcane magic, distrustful of this new surging magic embedded with nature's energies.

The Eagle's Wrath Offensive

After their rise to power, the Eagle's Wrath crusaded the continent for the following 7 years. Pillaging, looting and burning down cities and houses whose owners were dedicated to the old faith, killing faithful, destroying holy sites and shrines, selling various fetishes and destroying records and evidence of the old faith; the Eagle's Wrath came down upon those who praised and practiced magic relating to this religion.

Propelled forward by an aristocracy, many could do nothing to stop them, and most simply did not care.

End of the Eagle's Wrath

In the year 190 AD the Eagle's Wrath was abolished by the 3 leaders of the provinces for their horrible acts against those of the old faith and a posthumous pardon was given to those that were killed in the genocide. Regrettably by that time the biggest part of the ethnic cleansing was already completed and the Eagle's Wrath had amassed enough gold to form their own small nation by selling rare artifacts and convincing many to hire their services in an attempt to eradicate the believers. The leaders of the continent were not able to impound the gold due the the quick disband of this group and small townspeople and many living in remote locations had heard the lies spread about the nature worshipers and developed fear and disdain for them.
